Dorothy Bruce is an American-born artist who has made a significant impact in the UK, particularly in Scotland. She was born in Wisconsin and earned her Bachelor of Art from the Minneapolis School of Art, now known as the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Dorothy has lived and worked in Scotland for over 40 years, where she has become well-known for her watercolour paintings of landscapes and coastal scenes. Her work often captures the changing light and austere beauty of the Northern Highlands and the West Coast of Scotland.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held solo shows in various locations, including the West Coast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Aberfeldy.
