Banjolele by Frank Merton of Glasgow 1930s

This a lovely 1930s banjolele  by Glasgow builder Frank Merton in great condition for its age, comes with vintage case. New strings and tuners, plays really well.

Frank Merton was a banjo and banjolele builder based in Glasgow, known for his craftsmanship under the brand name “Orphean.” His instruments, particularly the necks, were highly regarded and often featured unique construction techniques, such as tubing for the fifth string. Merton’s work was sometimes combined with parts from other manufacturers, like Vega, to create high-quality hybrid instruments.
