Early English 5-string zither banjo

Early English 5-string Zither Banjo. Cleaned but needs some work to restore veneer. Fully playable, fitted with Clifford Essex Zither strings. Neck straight with no twist. Note string action is considered high for modern players but is historically correct.

These early banjos were typically played fingerstyle as per guitar rather than Scruggs 3-finger or clawhammer.

lightweight and small, makes a good travel banjo.
