Royal Dux Bohemian Porcelain Seated Nude Woman Figurine

This figurine is a mid-century modern piece of Royal Dux Bohemia porcelain designed by the artist Jiří Černoch. 

Figurine Details

• Manufacturer: Royal Dux Bohemia (Duxer Porzellan Manufaktur).
• Size: 9.5 inches tall.
• Designer: Jiří Černoch (also spelled Jiri Cernoch). He began designing for the company in the 1950s and is known for both animal and female figures.
• Material: Porcelain.
• Marks: The base features several authenticating marks:
• A raised pink clay triangle with an impressed 'D' and the words "Royal Dux Bohemia" around an oval. This mark with the letter 'D' has been the dominant mark since after World War II.
• A green backstamp that reads "Hand Painted" and "Made in Czechoslovakia". The "Made in Czechoslovakia" mark was used during two main periods: around 1919-1939 and again from the early 1950s onwards, often with the letter 'D' in the pink triangle.
• The impressed signature "designed by CERNOCH" is clearly visible.
